The Fifth Annual Heart of Texas Hunters Appreciation Dinner is set for November 26, the Saturday after Thanksgiving at the Brady Civic Center.
The Dinner is intended to not only provide hunters visiting the Heart of Texas with good food and a chance to win great prizes, but also to let those hunters know the entire community appreciates the contributions they make to the economic and cultural vitality of the entire area.
In addition to a brisket and sausage meal with all the fixin’s from Hard Eight Pit Bar-B-Que, the Heart of Texas Hunters Appreciation Dinner again includes drawings for a Kawasaki 610 Mule 4X4, 20 rifles and shotguns and a variety of sporting goods.
Tickets for the drawing for the Kawasaki Mule are $10, while tickets for the drawing for the guns are $1 each. Proceeds from the raffle drawings benefit the Brady/McCulloch County Chamber of Commerce.
Admission to the Hunters Appreciation Dinner is $10 and includes the Brisket and Sausage meal and drawings fore door prizes. The meal will begin serving at 6:00 p.m.
And, back for 2011 is the McCulloch County Jerky Championship. It’s a chance for those who feel they have a special knack for making wild game jerky to show off their skills. The winner will receive a plaque and world-wide recognition for his or her jerky making talents.
